Special Education Teacher Incentives & Professional Growth Opportunities
In May 2026, the Clinton Board of Education approved additional incentives designed to support, recruit, and retain high-quality educators.
Special Education Salary Supplement
Teachers who are certified in Special Education and assigned to teach in a Special Education position will receive an additional $2,000 annually beyond their placement on the district salary schedule.
Tuition Assistance for Teacher Certification
Teachers serving as the teacher of record under a substitute certificate while working toward teacher certification may be eligible for tuition assistance of $150 per credit hour, up to a maximum benefit of $9,000.
In exchange for this assistance, participants agree to continue employment with the district for three years following completion of their degree and certification requirements.
This tuition assistance opportunity is available to individuals pursuing certification in both Special Education and Regular Education.
