Over the past several weeks, Clinton High School students have had the opportunity to explore a wide range of career and college pathways!
Students attending Criminal Justice Career Exploration Day at UCM participated in a mini career fair highlighting different justice fields and a mock crime scene investigation. They were able to ask questions and learn more about the justice system, investigative work, and crime scene procedures.
Another group visited Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, where they attended an admissions presentation, learned about available programs and scholarships, toured campus, and enjoyed lunch in the dining hall.
Students also toured the Builders Association Training Center in North Kansas City. This facility provides apprenticeship training for bricklayers, cement masons, glaziers, painters, and iron workers. Students learned about the various skilled trade programs offered in the Kansas City area, participated in hands-on activities, and toured the training site.
Finally, for those interested in creative careers, representatives from the Kansas City Art Institute visited Clinton High School to share information about admissions and portfolio preparation.
It’s been a fantastic, and busy, couple of weeks full of opportunities for students to explore future pathways!
