Professional school counseling services are available for every student in the school. These services include assistance with educational planning, interpretation of test scores, occupational information, career planning, study aids, help with home, school, and/or social concerns, or any questions the students may feel they would like to discuss with the counselor. Students wishing to visit a counselor should contact the secretary/registrar (Melissa Willings) for an appointment.
In the spring of 2019, the Clinton School District announced the launch of the rootEd Alliance and the exciting opportunities this program would offer our high school students beginning in the 2019-2020 school year.
It is through the Clinton School District’s partnership with rootEd Alliance that Clinton High School has a dedicated staff member who will help students navigate their next steps in life. Jessica Shaffer serves as the district's College and Career Access Advisor and provides students with three things they need to be successful in the next chapter of their lives; advice, exposure, and access to post-secondary resources.
rootEd Alliance is a collaborative philanthropic effort committed to clearing a path to a stronger future for students after high school. rootEd Alliance provides an innovative approach to creating more opportunities for our students. Clinton High School alum, David Steward played a pivotal role in bringing rootEd Alliance to the district.
